Billy Bishop (YTZ) is closest to BMO Field at the Exhibition Place — just 4 miles across the harbour. Pearson (YYZ) is the main hub with the UP Express to Union Station in 25 minutes; BMO Field is then a 15-minute walk or transit ride from Union. Both are manageable — YTZ is the faster door-to-door for match days.
BMO Field has on-site and adjacent parking at Exhibition Place. Rates are reasonable by Toronto standards. Pre-purchase is recommended for big matches. The TTC streetcar and GO Transit make driving genuinely optional.
Toronto FC's supporter groups (Red Patch Boys, U-Sector, South End) create some of the best atmosphere in MLS. Pre-match gatherings happen in the Exhibition Place area and at bars along King St W. Check supporter social channels for organized pre-match events.
The TTC 509 and 511 streetcars run from Union Station along the waterfront to Exhibition Place, a 5-minute walk from BMO Field. From Union Station, the ride takes about 10–15 minutes. TTC extends service on match nights.
BMO Field is at Exhibition Place on Toronto's western waterfront. Liberty Village is a 15-minute walk north, King West is accessible, and the Martin Goodman Trail along the lake makes walking or cycling from downtown a genuinely pleasant option.
Bike parking is available near BMO Field. The Martin Goodman Trail along the waterfront provides a cycling connection from downtown Toronto and the west end neighborhoods.
Accessible parking is available in designated ADA spaces at Exhibition Place. The accessible drop-off zone is near the main entrance on Manitoba Dr. For accessibility accommodations, contact Toronto FC at torontofc.ca.
BMO Field sits on the Lake Ontario waterfront in Toronto's Exhibition Place grounds and has been home to Toronto FC since 2007. The stadium holds just over 28,000 fans in a purpose-built soccer venue that was expanded and improved several times since opening, with a roof added to cover the supporters' section and upper tiers. The lakefront setting, with views of Lake Ontario from the upper levels, gives it a distinctive Toronto character.
Exhibition Place is accessible via the 509 and 511 streetcar routes from downtown, connecting to Union Station and the broader TTC network. The grounds also host the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in late summer, so the area is well-known to Torontonians. Toronto FC's supporter groups — Red Patch Boys, U-Sector, and others — create a consistent atmosphere in the north end that's made the club's home matches one of the better MLS experiences in the league.
Outside liquid is not permitted.
Empty and soft water bottles are welcome in the stadium. Hard shelled water bottles are strictly prohibited.
Outside food is not permitted.
Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.
The stadium is a clear bag only venue. Guests are encouraged to limit the number of items they bring with them to the stadium.
The allowed bags are:
Prohibited bags include but are not limited to large purses, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, luggage of any kind, computer bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
Bag check will be available at Gate 3.
Exceptions will be made for diaper bags and medically necessary items that do not fit into a clear bag.
BMO Field is a soccer-specific venue with a partial roof that has been expanded over the years. The lower bowl midfield sections are close to the touchline with clean views of the full pitch. Toronto FC has a strong and passionate supporter culture, particularly the Red Patch Boys and U-Sector, and the atmosphere in the lower bowl is consistently one of the better ones in MLS.
BMO Field’s upper bowl midfield sections give you a solid overhead view of the entire pitch at a lower price. The stadium’s compact design keeps the upper sections feeling relatively close to the action. The partial roof coverage means some upper sections are protected from rain. A good value choice for most games.
The U-Sector is one of MLS’s more organized and passionate supporter sections — standing, loud, and focused on atmosphere rather than the game view. End goal sections offer steep angles to the far goal. Corner sections are similarly restricted. Midfield in the lower or upper bowl is the consistent choice for watching the game at BMO Field.
BMO Field has a partial roof that covers significant portions of the seating areas, providing meaningful sun and rain protection. Uncovered sections, primarily on the east side, get more direct afternoon sun. Toronto summers are warm and pleasant, and the partial coverage makes afternoon games more comfortable than at a fully open stadium. The covered west main stand is the most weather-protected option.
BMO Field’s partial roof is a genuine asset in Toronto’s climate. Spring games in March and April can be cold, and the covered sections provide meaningful protection from wind and rain. Summer games are warm and comfortable, especially under the partial roof coverage. Fall games can be cold from October onwards. Bring layers for any early or late-season game, particularly in uncovered sections.
Main Concourse - Famous for serving the original peameal bacon sandwich — a Toronto institution — at BMO Field. Salted, rolled in cornmeal, and served on a kaiser roll, this is distinctly Toronto.
Premium Club Area - Toronto's acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant brings their seasonal, locally-sourced cooking to matchday. One of the more genuinely thoughtful food programs at any soccer stadium.
Throughout the Stadium - Toronto's iconic Roundhouse brewery is synonymous with TFC matchdays. The Pilsner — clean, crisp, and refreshing — is one of Canada's best lagers and a proper gameday drink.
Toronto FC's south end supporter section — home to U-Sector and the Red Patch Boys — is one of MLS's most established. TFC have won MLS Cup and have a deep supporter culture built over nearly 20 years. The south end generates sustained noise that makes BMO Field one of the better atmospheres in MLS on a full night.
Toronto FC's supporter groups — Red Patch Boys and U-Sector — fill sections 112–118 at BMO Field behind the south goal. One of MLS's most established supporter cultures, with nearly two decades of history. Standing, flags, and synchronized chanting throughout the match. Non-TFC apparel is not permitted in the supporter sections.
In the Stands offers apparel for fans who enjoy visiting ballparks and stadiums. While we all have our favorite teams, there are times when they aren't the ones playing. Our goal is to create a sense of community and camaraderie whenever you see someone wearing In the Stands apparel.
