Subaru Park is a compact soccer-specific venue on the Delaware River in Chester, PA that opened in 2010. The lower bowl midfield sections are close to the touchline with clean views of the full pitch. The Philadelphia Union have built one of the more technically sophisticated supporter cultures in MLS, and the atmosphere in the lower bowl is consistently strong.
Subaru Park’s upper bowl midfield sections give you a solid overhead view of the entire pitch at a step down in price. The compact stadium design keeps the upper sections feeling close to the action. The Delaware River views from the west side of the stadium add a distinctive backdrop. A good value choice for most games.
The Sons of Ben at the south end are one of the most respected supporter sections in MLS — organized, passionate, and visually impressive. But it’s standing and focused on creating atmosphere rather than watching the game. End goal sections also offer steep angles to the far goal. Corner sections are similarly restricted. Midfield is the right choice for traditional game-watching.
Subaru Park is oriented roughly north-south. The west side faces east and benefits from shade earlier in the afternoon, with Delaware River views as a bonus. The east side gets more direct afternoon sun for evening kickoffs. Philadelphia summer heat and humidity are real — the shaded west side is the more comfortable option for afternoon games in July and August.
Subaru Park is open-air on the Delaware River. Spring games can be cold, particularly in March and April. Summer games are warm and humid, but the river breeze provides some relief compared to more landlocked venues. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible in summer. Fall games in September and October are typically excellent conditions for soccer in the Philadelphia area.

Supporter's Section Bar - Philadelphia's beloved craft brewery pours their Thomas Jefferson's Tavern Ale and Philly Pale Ale at Union matches. Genuinely one of the city's best craft operations.
Section 115 - South Philly's legendary cheesesteak and roast pork institution. The roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe is arguably the best thing to eat in Philadelphia.
The Sons of Ben's drumline anchors the supporter section, keeping a driving beat from kickoff through the final whistle and fueling the crowd's energy throughout.
