AUS is about 10 miles southeast of Q2 Stadium. A rideshare from the terminal runs $20–35. There's no direct transit connection from the airport to Q2 Stadium — rideshare or a rental car are the practical options for visitors arriving by air.
Q2 Stadium has very limited on-site parking. A small number of affiliated lots are available nearby, but they sell out fast for big matches. Most fans are directed to park in surrounding North Austin neighborhoods and walk, or to use rideshare. Austin FC strongly encourages rideshare and transit alternatives.
Austin FC has a passionate supporter culture with dedicated pre-match gatherings organized by La Murga de Austin and other supporter groups. Check Austin FC supporter social channels before each match for current tailgate and meetup locations — these often rotate around North Austin bars and parking areas near the stadium.
Capital Metro bus routes along Burnet Rd and North Lamar Blvd get you close to Q2 Stadium, with a 10–15 minute walk from the nearest stops. Austin's transit options to Q2 are improving but limited compared to peer MLS cities — rideshare and biking are currently the most practical non-driving alternatives. Check capmetro.org for current routes and any game-day service.
Q2 Stadium is in a light industrial/commercial area of North Austin with no immediately walkable neighborhood. North Loop is the closest residential district but it's a 30+ minute walk. Biking or ridesharing are far more practical than walking for most fans.
Q2 Stadium has significant bike parking and Austin FC actively encourages cycling. The stadium sits along the Lance Armstrong Bikeway (Speedway trail corridor) and North Lamar Blvd bike lanes provide connections from central Austin neighborhoods. Austin B-cycle has stations near the stadium area.
Accessible parking is available in the limited ADA-designated spaces in Q2 Stadium's affiliated lots — reserve in advance through Austin FC. The accessible drop-off zone is on McKalla Place Dr near the main entry. For accessibility accommodations, contact Austin FC at (512) 342-9200.
Q2 Stadium opened in 2021 as one of the first soccer-specific venues built from scratch in MLS, and Austin FC immediately gave it one of the loudest atmospheres in the league. The stadium holds just over 20,700 fans in a compact, covered bowl that traps noise and creates a genuine home-field advantage. Located in North Austin near the Domain, it's a purpose-built soccer ground in every sense.
The Domain area around the stadium has grown into a busy mixed-use neighborhood with plenty of dining and bar options within walking distance. Austin FC's supporters' group — La Murga de Austin — keeps the noise going from kickoff. Getting there by car is the most common approach given Austin's limited transit options, so budget extra time for parking and traffic, especially for evening kickoffs.

Q2 Stadium prohibits all bags, backpacks, and other carriers being brought in the stadium.
Exemptions will be considered for the following, after required security screenings:
Prohibited bags include but are not limited to large purses, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, luggage of any kind, computer bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
Bag check will be available at the Northwest and Southwest Gates.
Q2 Stadium is a well-designed soccer-specific venue that opened in 2021 in North Austin. The lower bowl is compact and intimate, keeping midfield sections close to the touchline. The atmosphere is strong for a newer club, and the lower midfield puts you in the heart of the action. Austin FC’s supporter section (El Tree) occupies the north end stands.
Q2 Stadium’s upper bowl midfield sections provide a solid overhead view of the entire pitch — ideal for watching the shape and movement of the game. The elevated perspective is especially useful for seeing build-up play and pressing patterns. Priced below the lower bowl, these are a solid choice for most games.
The north end stands are home to El Tree, Austin FC’s supporter group, and the atmosphere there is loud and immersive — but the view of the full pitch is limited. Corner sections also offer restricted angles. If watching the game matters as much as the atmosphere, midfield sections are the clear choice at Q2 Stadium.
Q2 Stadium runs roughly north-south, which puts the west side stands in direct afternoon sun for late afternoon and evening kickoffs. The east side benefits from the upper deck’s shade earlier. Austin summers are hot — the shaded east side is a meaningful comfort advantage for any afternoon game from May through September.
Q2 Stadium is a fully open-air venue, and Austin summer heat is real. Afternoon and early evening kickoffs in summer can be hot, particularly in the unshaded west side sections. The stadium’s design includes some overhang coverage in the upper sections, but many seats are exposed. Spring and fall games in Austin are among the most pleasant conditions in MLS.
Main Concourse - Austin's world-famous BBQ institution — the one people line up hours for on E. 11th Street — has a presence at Q2 Stadium. The brisket is as extraordinary in the stadium as it is at the restaurant.
Section 112 - East Austin's beloved breakfast taco institution brings their legendary Don Juan taco to Q2 Stadium. The breakfast tacos served at matches are a genuinely Austin thing to eat.
Throughout the Stadium - One of Austin's most popular craft breweries pours their Fire Eagle APA and rotating seasonal options at Q2. A refreshing and locally rooted choice for a Texas summer match.
The Verde Wall is Austin FC's supporters section — a dense, standing-only area behind one goal that generates some of the best atmosphere in MLS. The coordinated chants, tifo displays, and constant noise make it one of the league's most impressive supporter environments. Even if you're not sitting in the Wall, it's worth watching from nearby.
Tailgating is not permitted on Q2 Stadium owned and operated lots (North Lot, East Lot, and Southwest Lot).
Apparently it only happens for certain matches, but more info can be found on the La Murga website or the Los Verdes website.
Group tickets for away supporters are done through the Austin FC front office, but visiting fans can basically sit anywhere (except for the Supporters Section).
Apparel Policy: Non-Austin FC apparel is prohibited from sections Supporters Section (101-105), including other domestic or international clubs. Guests wearing opposing colors or apparel will not be allowed on the south concourse and Supporters Section."
Pouring: No cans or bottles are permitted in the Supporters Section. All drinks must be poured into cups prior to entering. Cups are available at all nearby concession stands and with Guest Services Staff in each section.
