Snapdragon Stadium in Mission Valley is home to San Diego Wave FC in the NWSL, sharing the venue with San Diego FC in MLS. The stadium opened in 2022 after a significant renovation of the former SDCCU Stadium site and holds 35,000 fans in an open-air configuration. The Wave have quickly become one of the NWSL's leading clubs, and the San Diego market's enthusiasm for women's soccer has generated strong attendance from the start.
The Mission Valley location is well-served by the MTS Green Line trolley, with a dedicated station adjacent to the stadium. San Diego's exceptional weather makes outdoor matches comfortable throughout the season, and the stadium's open design takes advantage of it. The surrounding Mission Valley area has retail and restaurants nearby, and the 15-minute drive or transit ride from downtown San Diego makes it an accessible destination.
Sealed water bottles (unfrozen) as well as empty refillable water bottles no larger than 32oz are allowed into the stadium.
Snapdragon Stadium will permit guests with food allergies to bring food into Snapdragon Stadium intended for individual consumption. You must inform the staff upon arrival at gates.
